Materials You'll Need

To craft these toppers, you'll need the following items:

Crafasso No-Shed Shimmer Glitter cardstock, 12" x 12" 300GMS, 15 Sheets, Red

Heavy-duty royal blue and bright red heavy-duty glitter cardstock. I prefer Crafasso brand since it is nice and sturdy, and they offer a no-shed variety.

How to Make a 4th of July Cake Topper

Here's a quick rundown on how to make these DIY cake toppers at home:

1. Upload the PNG files to Cricut Design Space.

2. Remove the background of the file if needed, then save each as a "Cut Image."

3. Click "add to canvas." Resize the files to about 5-7 inches for a cake (keep in mind, larger toppers will be more delicate).

4. Cut your chosen designs with your Cricut or cutting machine. Use heavy-duty glitter cardstock for durability.

5. Carefully glue a wooden skewer onto the back of the cake topper with hot glue.
